Advice From Sussex Fire And Rescue Service

Thanks to NHW Area Coordinator Sue Jahan for this useful advice in the current weather conditions.

This is not an official Neighbourhood Watch notice but I thought it was worth passing on some interesting information received Sussex Fire and Rescue Service who are presently dealing with many more fires caused by bonfires, barbecues and discarded cigarettes etc. It would only take a little spark from a bonfire or other ignition source to start a fire with all the tinder and dry vegetation around (even if we have recently had some rain!).

The links below will direct you to some helpful advice and reminders to take extra care in the current dry conditions.

Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Regards,

Sue Jahan – Neighbourhood Watch AC
